Working with The Romans and EXTRA, we helped the over-thinkers, the second-guessers, and the spirallers (all of us, right?!) take a Boss Break across the UK.
The idea:
EXTRA transformed convenience stores and corner shops into mood-boosting spaces where trained shopkeepers (the Bosses) offered friendly chats, a listening ear, and free packs of EXTRA gum. The campaign celebrated independent retailers as community connectors, helping shoppers reset during their working day.

The Boss Breaks campaign was developed on research that showed that 94% of Gen Z frequently face work-related micro-stresses, with 69% saying that chatting with a shopkeeper could help lift their mood.
Hitting the High Street
Led by The Romans, Hopper helped to design and produce the physical Boss Breaks shop take-overs; taking the concept from idea to impact on the high street, social content, trade and consumer press.
